One of the largest stock photo agencies, Shutterstock also licenses music and video to companies and individuals on a global scale, from multinational corporations to DIY bloggers. Co. Cue's editors were tasked with localizing metadata terminology describing scenes, characters, locations, and activities in images to specific markets in Brazil and Germany. This included supporting localization requirements to translate contextual keywords into either Brazilian Portuguese or German.
- Co. Cue local translators and editors reviewed and localized metadata keywords targeting German and Brazilian markets.
- Our in-country staff reviewed existing keywords and suggested new terms that incorporated cultural nuances and customs specific to holidays, activities, food, heritage, and society.
- We worked closely with the Shutterstock team to ensure the metadata targeted the markets in a local voice and style.
